As we all know, the Hive Naija Weekend Engagement is focused on promoting the togetherness of the Nigeria brethren together through engagement and it's also now concerned of the well being of each and everyone who is part of the engagement. Well, I know I have been forgotten long ago 😭 @Samostically @sam.hangout.
So for the sake of being a vayulence loving man, I will be answering the two topics.
Well, I won't call myself a real traveller. But I love to run from home as often as possible either I go to my hostel at school in another state or a relative around. When I am at time, I do not go out much except as night or when I have to run errands - a whole comrade like me still dey run errands 😩.
I can speak yoruba and normal English. My diverse yoruba background makes me able to understand some other species of Yoruba but I just can't speak all. I love French and soon I will go in to learn it the more. I can still understand some written French by picking each word and dissecting it to my understanding. FYI I did French from primary school till my first year in senior high school when our science HOD said we won't be needing it. But I love français! 😁

I so much love traveling, it's my thing, though I stay at home most of the time but if I have opportunity, I'm ready to travel every week, hehehe. Staying at home is fun when I have some work to meet up with but outside that, I prefer traveling.
I can only speak English, the English sef is not good enough but that's the only language I know how to speak. If I have the opportunity, I'd love to learn yoruba and Spanish 😁.

To be sincere, i think I'm more of a traveller who is staying at home, if them give me chance and money dey, i will travel the world mehn, in my single days, i did a lot of travelling around most states in nigeria, them no dey see me for house, in fact, some people for area no sabi me, na when I come back my mum go dey introduce me give some people, and they will be like, i thought Treasuree is the first daughter, no so e bad reach. But now, children have turn me to stay at home working mum, hopefully, when they are grown, i will tour the world with them haha.
I can speak English language, a bit of Ibibio, a little bit more of Yoruba, although I understand all this language well, some parts might not flow well with my tongue. And the language I will love to learn is Igbo , i wish i even understand sef, also Spanish I love the accent, especially their songs.

I am a traveller oo 😂, I don't need to think about this one. Traveling is part of my hobby that I cherish so much.
So far, I have traveled to 16states in Nigeria, but e remain make I cross the border to visit the white 😂. In all my traveling so far, there is always new things to learn.... staying at home all the time is not my thing. As an extrovert, I am always eager to explore my world 🌎, mingle with other peeps and learn more
When I was single, traveling was super easy and handy unlike now, planning on n traveling means planning to accommodate the kids sometimes but it's still doable but not like before!
For now, I can only speak my mother tongue which is Igbo and the General English language.
Currently I am learning how to speak Yoruba language. This is because, leaving in Lagos state Nigeria without knowing how to speak yoruba has been so tiring considering my ugly encounter so far . When I am done with this Yoruba language, I can then move to other languages like Spanish and co!
I recently told someone I will learn Yoruba because they are always speaking it around me, maybe, when you learn, you will teach me.

Wich Language I 4 Like Learn?
O'boy, as a complete Nigerian, I for speak Igbo(cha cha cha, Igbo kwenu!!),because say I be correct nwa-for.
I dey speak Yoruba, dey even write am self. For my WAEC days, Nah A1 I get for the language. On top am, I dey back pidgin well. As e come be, Nah only Hausa I neva sabi. So, I for like hear and speak Hausa.
Why Hausa?
I have a number of reason why I would love to speak and understand the Hausa language (make una no vex say I tune to Oyibo, biko nu'u).
Business: Looking Closely, you can bear me witness that after the Igbos in Nigeria, the Hausa are the next industrious people. Hence, we tend to meet them in all walks of life. So, sometimes it gets tough to be able to discuss with them or negotiate how a deal will go. But understanding the language could give me a leverage.
Integration: I have the believe that the Hausa people love whoever can speak their language. You'd become their friend and you will be able to maneuver your way buy getting some commodities from them as one of them.
For instance, the NYSC programme in Nigeria is designed for this purpose. That all Nigerian should understand the culture of other people within the geography called Nigeria.
Cross-Border Relationship: Another reason why I would love to speak the Hausa language is that It could serve as a tool for easy movement and locating some major markets in Northern Nigeria.
Also, if their is need to get married to an Hausa lady (some of them are very beautiful ooo, no think am), it would be easy to interact.
A Complete Nigerian:* I know a Nigerian man, Bisi Olatilo, who understand over 20 languages and speak them fluently (international languages, inclusive). I would like to be like this man, at least to begin with the three major Nigerian Languages.

Hmmm...am an Igbo girl who has lived in Yoruba land for long and can't speak Yoruba. I fit speak pigin and I dey even write am sef but the thing be say I no fit write Igbo.
The language I'd like to learn would be Yoruba as I always feel odd when my friends speak Yoruba and I can't. Even at school when we recite the Yoruba national anthem, I just stand awkwardly and don't even try to sing before I say rubbish and swear for myself.
Hahaha. So funny. Truth is, some of us do have a thing for language. If interest is not built, you may not speak the language.

What are the things you are doing to make sure you learn how to speak Hausa?
First, I don't have time that much but I engage Hausa speakers. One of them is a student in the school, I ensure to engage in speaking the language each time we meet.
Okada riders in my end are most Hausa-speaking riders so we speak. I haven't learned much but I could speak the primary ones.

I'd do my best. One of my inspirations comes from one of my former students who did his NYSC in Sokoto and now trade in onions and rice from the north. The language as a huge advantage.
I can imagine how much of a benefit it is knowing how to speak the Hausa language. I'm still struggling with my native language, I really hope to learn a language very well soon.

I have traveled to more than 26 countries...did I say countries? No I mean to say States out of 36 States includeing Abuja.
Traveling is good it helps you to mingle and learn a lot of new things that staying in a particular place may not offer you.

I like to see myself as someone who enjoys both sha.
On a typical day, all I want to do is wake up, freshen up, eat, sleep,repeat. As long as my phone is charged and I have data, chheiiii forget it....you no go see my break light outside.
But when it comes to work, I like being adventurous, and wanting to explore new territories and it low key helps me maintain my sanity(especially road trips). Having a culinary experience is another thing I enjoy about travels...ommoohhhh you just gotta try out some dishes from states especially the north😙😙...its sooo mouth watering.
The beautiful sights I get to see is aesthetic and so relaxing. After all this waka waka upandan, you've got the initial solitude lover😀

This might sound weird but I have phobia for traveling. Like I gets ares being in a moving buss car or whatever. I feel like I'm in a tightly enclosed moving box and it makes me nauseous and wanting to throw up. And for years I avoid whatever will make me travel long distances. Severally, friends have attributed to being claustrophobic but actually I think the right term is hodophobia. I'm Hodophobic.
The crazy thing is that lately I've seen myself traveling a lot on important assignment which I don't have any choice. I still get the symptoms and nauseousness but what will man do. In Life you got to do what you need to do to survive.
So to answer the question. I hate traveling and I so much prefer to stay at home.

I speak Igbo and English fluently. But if I'm to learn q new language, then I definitely want to learn Yoruba. Mehn I love that language. Especially when I hear people sing with it. I recall one time asking a Yoruba friend of mine to teach me. And she asked me to pay.
